After firefighters made entry to fight the fire, an interior collapse caused several members to be trapped. A mayday was put out on the fire ground and rescue operations ensued. One member is being transported in unknown condition, while the rest remain on scene to continue working the incident. Crews will remain on scene and continue to flow water, ensuring hot spots and smoldering debris within the collapsed building are eliminated. LAFD Heavy Equipment will be assisting with the overhaul. A total of two firefighters were injured. One in moderate condition was transported to the hospital, and the other in fair condition will seek follow-up care after the incident concludes.
