Major Emergency Structure Fire 09/11/2022 INC#0156 - Major Emergency Structure Fire; INC#0156; 02:22AM; 4802 S Mckinley Av; ; #SouthPark; Two-story church, fully involved with fire. After firefighters made entry to fight the fire, an interior collapse caused several members to be trapped. A mayday was put out on the fire ground and rescue operations ensued. One member is being transported in unknown condition, while the rest remain on scene to continue working the incident. KNOCKDOWN Major Emergency Structure Fire 09/11/2022 INC#0156 - KNOCKDOWN Major Emergency Structure Fire; INC#0156; 04:02AM; 4802 S Mckinley Av; ; #SouthPark; After 1 hour and 40 minutes, the Incident Commander has declared a "knockdown" of the fire. Crews will remain on scene and continue to flow water, ensuring hot spots and smoldering debris within the collapsed building are eliminated. LAFD Heavy Equipment will be assisting with the overhaul. A total of two firefighters were injured. One in moderate condition was transported to the hospital, and the other in fair condition will seek follow-up care after the incident concludes.
