Knockdown - Structure Fire 05/18/2023 INC#0499 - Knockdown - Structure Fire; INC#0499; 09:55AM; 21801 W Burbank Bl; ; #WoodlandHills; 43 LAFD Firefighters took just 26 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish a vehicle and contents within the attached garage of an 1,800 square foot three-story condominium (two occupied floors above the first floor garage), that was heavily involved with fire on LAFD arrival. Though intense heat and thick smoke charged the structure, firefighters skillfully prevented the flames from extending above the garage level. Two adult civilians (unknown affiliation) sustained non-life threatening injury. They include a 45 year-old male with burn injury to his neck, and a 95 year-old female with minor respiratory complaints following smoke exposure. No ambulance transports yet. Update Structure Fire 05/18/2023 INC#0499 - Update Structure Fire; INC#0499; 10:30AM; 21801 W Burbank Bl; ; #WoodlandHills; The 45 year-old male (resident of the involved unit) who sustained a minor burn injury to his neck, has politely declined ambulance transport. His 95 year-old female neighbor has been taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics in fair condition, following exposure to smoke from the fire. No other injuries reported. The fire cause remains under investigation.
