Knockdown - Greater Alarm Fire 05/25/2023 INC#0678 - Knockdown - Greater Alarm Fire; INC#0678; 12:50PM; 1709 E 24th St; ; #CentralAlameda; 48 LAFD Firefighters + responders from nearby LACoFD stations in Automatic Aid, took just 45 minutes in largely defensive firefighting operations, to access, confine and extinguish a 75' x 100' pile of metal debris and machinery ablaze at a metal recycling business in an industrial area. No evacuation. No injury. Firefighters will remain on scene this afternoon to overhaul the fire and complete extinguishment of smoldering debris.
