Cliff Rescue 09/30/2023 INC#1632 - Cliff Rescue; INC#1632; 11:40PM; 3740 S Meyler St; ; #SanPedro; LAFD divers were able to access the interior of the heavily damaged coupe wedged upside down between rocks in the high surf, to discover and extricate one lifeless adult male occupant. Beyond medical help, he was determined dead and remains secure near the wreckage pending the Medical Examiner's arrival. A thorough search within the heavily damaged vehicle, as well as a spotlight and helicopter infrared search of the shoreline yielded no other victims. LAFD crews will assist Medical Examiner's staff in the safe, discreet and dignified recovery of the decedent from the shoreline as soon as the investigation and conditions allow.
