KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire 07/16/2024 INC#0337 - KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0337; 07:30AM; 2819 N Broadway; #LincolnHeights; *Corrected Address* Firefighters arrived to find a one-story commercial building with smoke coming from the openings of the structure (vents/windows/etc.). As crews made access to the vacant structure, the intensity of the smoke grew, becoming dark and pressurized. Firefighters created holes in the building to let the smoke escape, and deployed hose lines inside to oppose the flames. It took 42 firefighters 18 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
