Contained - Greater Alarm Structure Fire 08/29/2024 INC#0144 - Contained - Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#0144; 04:58AM; 6901 S Vermont Av; #VermontSlauson; Defensive operations by 80 Los Angeles Firefighters contained and extinguished the bulk of intense and stubborn flames in 90 minutes without injury. The still smoldering fire, which also involved outside tire storage, was through the roof of the 75' x 100' one-story tire store on LAFD arrival. This location was the scene of a suspicious rubbish fire that extended to involve outside storage only (no structure) in the predawn hours of August 2, 2024, and caused no injury. LAFD Public Information Officer Firefighter David Ortiz is en route to assist the media.
