Compressed natural gas cylinders were identified on top of truck, with at least one PRD (pressure relieving device) activated and releasing gas. KNOCKDOWN Truck Fire 02/26/2025 INC#0400 - KNOCKDOWN Truck Fire; INC#0400; 09:23AM; 2000 S Granville Av; <a href="https://bit.ly/41wYTxF" target="_blank" rel="noopener">https://bit.ly/41wYTxF</a>; #Sawtelle; Several fire companies were added to this incident, for a total of approximately 42 firefighters on scene. 4 compressed natural gas tanks located on top of the sanitation truck were monitored while they discharged completely. Fire companies remained in defensive posture until tanks were empty, then proceeded to fully extinguish fire in the body and cab of the truck. Knockdown was achieved in 90 minutes; companies will remain on scene for approximately one hour for overhaul. No injuries.
