KNOCKDOWN: 88 firefighters extinguished the fire in 42 minutes with no injuries reported. Firefighters have shut down the ladder pipe operations and are transitioning into the overhaul stage using hand lines. This will remain an active scene into the morning and drivers are advised to avoid the area due to the large number of apparatus and water supply lines at the street. [verified]

The large (200' x 300') commercial building (previously DBA Smart and Final) is a concrete tilt-up in the demolish stage. Firefighters are making progress and defending adjacent buildings from the ember cast. The majority of the fire is now at the roof level. There are no injuries reported. [verified]
